Therapy Dogs have a positive effect on many people and can improve our feelings of wellbeing. Petting a dog can trigger biophysical changes that reduce blood pressure and heart rate. Their calming presence can open a door to discussion about mental health by easing fears and establishing trust.
Finley Faith has been volunteering at Mental Health events since she was 3 years old and is an expert at providing comfort and establishing a bond of trust. Finley, along with her partner Barbara, are an Alliance of Therapy Dogs certified team. They are available to support your organization in reducing the stigma associated to talking about mental health and to bring moments of joy and comfort during times of need. Finley and Barbara love to team up with nonprofits who have a focus on improving behavioral health to bring attention to a very important topic - community wellbeing!
Finley has experience volunteering in many different environments.
